Valentine's Barf Mix →
I hate holidays. Asides from the New Year’s Day, Halloween, my wedding anniversary and perhaps my own b-day, I don’t celebrate anything else. If there’s one event I truly despise is the “hallmark day” one. It exemplifies EVERYTHING that is wrong with American “culture.” Every year, I normally will ignore it, choosing to post My Bloody Valentine videos instead. After...

Post-Surgery
Dear listeners, colleagues, and friends, I underwent emergency surgery at Seattle’s Swedish Medical Center for appendicitis on February 1. The operation went well. Now I’m back home recovering (slowly, on some nice painkillers). I would like to thank Dr. Sean Wells and his medical team - they did an amazing (and quick job). So far, I’m recovering with very few complications....

Why Buy Music?
When you buy music it sends the right message to the independent label, small distro companies, local record store, independent concert promoter: there is a desire and market (yes, we live in a capitalist system) for my art. This in turn will hopefully guarantee I record another album or play a show in your town.  Physical copies are by far of superior quality. Vinyl is top notch, and unlike...

A Winter Under Reticent Skies
Spent the last few days experimenting with different signal and live instrument input routings in Ableton Live and applying the results to composing a new piece. Here’s what it’s sounding like so far. Enjoy!

Lou Reed glared at me in an airport
Silly Lou Reed moment in 2009. Ah, the memories… rockandrolltedium: Lou Reed was standing right in front of me at the security check-in queue on my way to Berlin. When I realized it was him, I blurted out loud: “No way, it’s Lou Fucking Reed!” He overheard that, turned around and glared at me. I felt really embarrassed. Shortly afterwards I passed him the tray containing his jacket...
